The founder
From the Universidad de Guadalajara to the operating rooms of California.
Raúl Ruvalcaba came to the United States as a Mexican professional, on the path that the North American Free Trade Agreement opened. At almost every step, the process seemed built to say no. He kept going until it said yes, a story he tells in his 2024 book, Que no se podía, y ¡sí se pudo!
He then founded Raúl Ruvalcaba, Inc., a company that specializes in the instruments, equipment and implants used in orthopedic surgery. From Santa Fe Springs, it supplies hospitals and surgery centers throughout California with trauma and joint replacement systems from five manufacturers.
